Ayer estuve sacando esta canción en guitarra y se me dio por buscar la letra... cuando la leí y al escucharla bien, se me vino a la mente lo que podía llegar a significar. Bueno, como estoy medio al pedo (?), acá está mi interpretación (un poco basada en algo que leí por parte de otros Foo Fighteros ):

Para mí es una canción de amor, sobre alguien que está enamorado de una chica llamada Carolina. Cuando dice "Help me search to find the words that eat you up inside." le pide que lo ayude a encontrar las palabras para decirle lo que siente, porque no puede encontrarlas por su cuenta. "And I only hide what is on my mind because I can't explain." como no puede explicárselo, esconde todos estos sentimientos en su mente. El estribillo arma un debate consigo mismo en el que discute qué debe hacer. Él quiere estar con ella, pero "I'd have to lose everything just to find you.", tendría que perderlo todo para encontrarla, quizás la amistad. "Trophies earned and lessons learned from wicked little lies." se refiere a relaciones que tuvo antes y que lo han engañado. "We can pave new roads with the cold gravestones, wind them through the pines." quiere decir que estando con ella, los dos podrían estar mejor, trazar nuevos caminos, quitando el dolor de relaciones pasadas. "Should I stay or should I go alone? I cannot decide." Retoma su confusión, si desea esperar el momento para estar juntos o moverse a un lado y olvidarse de ella. Nuevamente retoma el estribillo con "'¿qué pasaría si le digo lo que siento? ¿qué pasaría si no lo hago?". Y después muchas veces repitiendo Carolina... Esa parte es muy linda.

Puede que signifique otra cosa, que se yo, ¿quizás algo religioso? no sé.

Btw, hermosa canción y cada vez que la escucho me relaja.

Bueno, ya se termina el año, no quedan más notas que cerrar, no más trabajos prácticos, no más estudio, no más conflictos, no más problemas. Por un lado me siento muy triste por todo lo que vivimos y pasamos juntos y que todo llegue a un final, que no sea lo mismo que siempre fue; pero por otro, estoy esperanzado y optimista por todo lo nuevo que se viene, aunque sé que va a ser todo un poco más complicado, y extraño sobre todo. Es una mezcla de sensaciones: felicidad, tristeza, melancolía, temor... en fin.
